Twelve RF-4C aircraft departed Shaw AFB in three waves of four, bound for Hickam AFB, Hawaii.
Our first flight in the RF-4C was 10 Dec 1964 and now we were taking 365 airman and officers and 20 aircraft to war 10 months later.
